1. FC Nürnberg has won its last four second division matches against Fortuna Düsseldorf. And they want to keep it that way - also thanks to a youngster who has been under heavy fire of late.

Bundesliga 2 - FCN wants to continue series against Fortuna Düsseldorf

Cristian Fiél is clearly pleased with his 1. FC Nürnberg's winning record against Fortuna Düsseldorf. "Where can I sign?" the "Club" coach jokingly wanted to know if the Franconians' winning streak would continue in Saturday's home game (1.00 pm/Sky). Nuremberg have even won all of their last four second division games against Düsseldorf. "I don't recognize a pattern, but I would have no problem if it stays the same," Fiél continued on Friday.

A week ago, Nuremberg suffered a 4:1 defeat against Karlsruher SC, while Düsseldorf once again produced a soccer spectacle with a 5:3 win against FC Schalke 04. Nevertheless, FCN are only three points behind Fortuna in the table.

Fiél raves about the Düsseldorfers

"A clear idea of soccer, incredible ball security, lots of pace," said Fiél, listing the Rhinelanders' qualities. Coach Daniel Thioune's team is characterized by "a lot of individual quality, especially in the offensive", and they have mastered both the long and the short ball. "That's what makes it so difficult," said Fiél about the unpredictability factor of the upcoming opponent.

The former "Club" amateur coach will have to do without midfielder Jens Castrop once again due to a red ban. Nuremberg's only scorer against Karlsruhe, youngster Can Uzun, is of course still available. However, after his goal celebration, the 18-year-old was heavily criticized in front of the KSC fan curve. Following a complaint, the police in Baden-Württemberg began an investigation.

Reference to Kahn's "eggs" slogan

Fiél naturally spoke to attacking player Uzun after the incident. "The boy is already having second thoughts," the coach remarked. But he is also young and still has to gain experience.

It's one thing that the cheering pose obviously came across as provocative to Karlsruhe fans. Another is that the teenager is refreshingly self-confident despite his youth. "He's proven often enough that he's got it," said Fiél when asked about Oliver Kahn's former demand to the Bayern team: "Balls, we need balls!"
