Football-Bundesligist FC St. Pauli will not rely on Etienne Amenyido in the future. After three years, the offensive player did not receive a new contract from the promoter from Hamburg. The club referred to the frequent injury misfortune of the 26-year-old in its statement, which always held him back.

Therefore, Amenyido only played 51 matches for the Kiez-Club, scoring six goals and providing six assists. In the last season, he appeared in 19 2. Liga games, none of which lasted longer than 25 minutes. The native of Herford joined Hamburg from VfL Osnabrück in 2021. Where he will play in the future is open.
