FC Paris: Free entry for fans until the end of the season
Like Fortuna Düsseldorf, French soccer club FC Paris is launching a free entry project for fans. However, the capital city club is going one step further: from next Saturday, spectators will be able to enter the stadium free of charge for all matches of the second division men's team and the first women's team until the end of the season.
"The club, which has been developing this project for several months, wants the sporting spectacle offered on the pitch to be accessible to everyone, whether families or groups of friends, whether soccer fans or not, regardless of age or social class," it said in a club statement.
The Parisians also referred to the Düsseldorf model, but emphasized that this was limited to a few games and the men's team. The Rhinelanders played the first free game of the "Fortuna for all" project on October 21. The game was the first of three free games this season. Over five years, the second division club is to receive around 40 million euros to play three home games per season in which the public is granted free admission. This sponsorship model is to be successively expanded in order to be able to offer more free games per season in future.
Due to FC Paris's initiative, soccer fans and spectators can now attend all second division men's matches and the first women's team games for free until the season ends. This move by Paris FC, which has been planning this for several months, is inspired by Fortuna Düsseldorf's "Fortuna for all" project, although Paris FC's offer is more extensive.
