The Place of 1. FC Cologne - FC manager Struber's perspective: Victory simplifies existence

1. Cologne is aiming for a successful commencement in their second division campaign following a lukewarm beginning. They confront bottom-ranked Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday (8:30 PM/Sky), under considerable pressure. "This is an opponent we treat with utmost respect. However, we have the conviction that we can sway the game in our favor," expressed Cologne's coach Gerhard Struber prior to the match.

This could be Cologne's first triumph in the third fixture of the season. So far, they have amassed just one point from their two league outings. For Struber, this is just par for the course. "The previous few months haven't provided the lads with an easy ride," admitted the Austrian. His straightforward strategy: "Wins. Wins simplify matters." In the DFB-Pokal, they recently emerged victorious 3-2 in extra time against third division side SV Sandhausen in the preliminary round.

Despite the failed start in the league, Cologne's coach Gerhard Struber remains optimistic, stating, "Wins simplify matters." With only one point from their first two matches, the upcoming fixture against Eintracht Braunschweig could be a chance to turn things around and secure their first triumph of the third league outing.
