Second Bundesliga - FC Koln must long do without Christensen

Descender 1. FC Cologne has been forced to do without midfielder Jacob Christensen for months in the fight for the return of the Bundesliga. The 23-year-old Dane suffered a cruciate ligament tear in his left knee during a test match against Udinese Calcio (3:2) on Saturday, as the second division club announced on Monday after an examination in Cologne. The Cologne team did not provide further details on the duration of the absence and further treatment. Cologne opens the new season in the 2. Liga against Hamburger SV on Friday evening (20.30 Uhr).
