Basketball - FC Bayern without Weidemann and Wimberg in future

The basketball players of FC Bayern Munchen are parting ways with Nelson Weidemann and Niklas Wimberg. As the German double champion announced, their contracts have expired. Center Weidemann (25) was promoted to Munich's roster in 2016. He is now joining Ratiopharm Ulm.

Wing player Wimberg (28) played for FC Bayern for two years. He will represent Veolia Towers Hamburg moving forward. These are the first two official player departures for FC Bayern for the new season.

Simultaneously, Munich's development player Martin Kalu (19) is being loaned to Braunschweig Lions for initially one season. He is supposed to gain Bundesliga experience there. The contract of the U20 national player in Munich is still valid until the summer of 2027.
