Bundesliga - FC Bayern aim for first place against Union Berlin

FC Bayern Munich can take over the lead in the Bundesliga table, at least temporarily, with a win at home against 1. FC Union Berlin on Saturday (3.30 pm/Sky). The German champions go into the 13th matchday two points behind Bayer 04 Leverkusen. A Bayern victory would put pressure on Leverkusen, who host Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel has set a winning streak as his goal at the end of the season. He called for a higher strike rate, more pace and more bite on the pitch than in the recent 0-0 draw in the Champions League against FC Copenhagen. Berlin, who are without a win in 16 competitive matches, will face new coach Nenad Bjelica for the first time in the Bundesliga.

FC Augsburg, who remain unbeaten under their new coach Jess Thorup, do not play until Sunday evening (7.30pm) against Eintracht Frankfurt to round off the matchday. If successful, Augsburg could potentially move into the top half of the table.
