Vehicle circulation - Father assumes responsibility for child's critical injury in mishap.

In Messstetten on the Swabian Alb, an 18-year-old motorcyclist sustained severe injuries after colliding with a car. Reports suggest that the impact propelled the motorcyclist onto the hood and windshield of the car. He was quickly taken to the hospital on Friday.

The 19-year-old driver of the car claims he had seen the motorcyclist before making a left turn. However, his 39-year-old father insisted he was the one behind the wheel. Nevertheless, testimonies from witnesses provided enough evidence to confirm that the teenager was driving. The father and others arrived at the scene only later. The son doesn't hold a driver's license, the police confirmed, and the license plate on the car belonged to a different vehicle.

The young driver now faces charges of driving without a license and causing reckless bodily harm. His father, too, could potentially be charged with allowing someone to drive without a license and obstructing justice.
