- Father and brother stabbed - 39-year-old in custody

A 39-year-old is suspected of stabbing his brother and father in Neuburg (Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district). The suspect was presented to a judge who, based on suspicion of attempted manslaughter in two cases, ordered pretrial detention. The defendant was then taken to a prison.

As a police spokesperson stated, officers were already at the suspect's address on Thursday morning when the incident occurred. The officers had gone to the family's apartment to investigate a reported threat against an authority that had originated there. After the case was resolved and the police had left the scene, an argument broke out in the apartment, which the officers heard from the street.

During the argument, the two family members were injured. The officers overpowered the 39-year-old in the apartment and took him into custody.

The 71-year-old father of the suspect was seriously injured. After surgery, he was no longer in life-threatening condition. The brother suffered a cut wound and was able to leave the hospital the same day. Investigations are ongoing.

The reported threat against an authority led to the police presence at the suspect's residence, potentially indicating underlying tensions. Regrettably, these tensions escalated into a violent crime inside the apartment.
