Full closure - Fatal traffic accident on the A3
The A3 is passable again in the morning after a serious accident near Montabaur (Westerwald district). The autobahn was closed in the southern direction due to an accident around 7:45 am for several hours.
According to witness statements, a car was initially driving on the left of the three traffic lanes, but then suddenly swerved across all traffic lanes and went off the road, as reported by the police. It crashed over a wall and embankment and overturned. The 32-year-old driver was trapped and died according to police reports at the scene of the accident.
The involvement of the police was joined by the fire department, paramedics, and a doctor. The closure caused traffic disruptions during the incident.
