At a heavy traffic accident on Tuesday evening in Stuhr (Landkreis Diepholz), a driver was so severely injured that he subsequently died in the hospital. The 84-year-old driver was driving with his car, according to initial police knowledge, from Brinkum Nord towards Stuhrbaum. In a left-hand turn, he lost control of the car for reasons yet to be determined. The car came off the road to the right and collided with a tree.

Preliminary findings suggest that the 84-year-old was not in possession of a driver's license. The damage is estimated to be around 10,000 Euro. The road was closed for the accident investigation for approximately two hours.

The traffic accident in Stuhr, Lower Saxony, on Tuesday evening resulted in the death of an elderly driver.
