A woman has died in a traffic accident on the Mercedes-Benz factory grounds in Sindelfingen. The 56-year-old and a 57-year-old man were struck by a bus on Monday, as police reported. The woman was run over by the vehicle and died at the scene. The man fell to the ground and suffered severe injuries. He was taken to a hospital.

The two had gotten off at a bus stop for factory traffic. The bus driver turned around and drove back in the opposite direction. Meanwhile, the woman and man crossed the street and were struck by the vehicle. The public prosecutor's office in Stuttgart has appointed an expert to investigate the accident. The investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.

The incident occurred near the 'Transport and telecommunications' infrastructure within the factory grounds. The bus involved in the accident is a part of the factory's internal 'transport and telecommunications' system.
