Agriculture - Farmers demonstrate with tractors in front of the state parliament
Farmers from Saxony-Anhalt have protested against the federal budget compromise with a spontaneous demonstration in front of the state parliament in Magdeburg. In an appeal by the "Land schafft Verbindung" interest group, the farmers criticized "massive financial cuts for our farms". In the budget compromise that has just been agreed, the federal government is cutting tax breaks for agricultural diesel and vehicle tax exemptions for agricultural and forestry vehicles, among other things.
