Game harm - Farmers are sought after by hunters for extra assistance.
In Saxony-Anhalt, hunters are seeking more assistance from farmers in safeguarding sizable regions from harm inflicted by wild animals. Wild boar, specifically, present a challenge when destroying vast fields, according to Carsten Scholz, Chairperson of the Saxony-Anhalt State Hunting Association. Prior to two years ago, there were collaborative efforts by farmers, including hunting corridors. The goal is to reestablish this partnership through discussions with farmers' associations. Recently, the hunting association convened for the statewide hunters' conference in Wernigerode.

In Axony-Anhalt's politics of agriculture and wildlife management, hunters are advocating for stronger collaborations with farmers to mitigate the damage caused by animals like wild boar. As a result, hunting corridors could once again become a strategic tool in maintaining a balance between farmland preservation and animal population control.
