Farm helper dies after accident in cowshed
A man has died after a serious accident at work in a cowshed in Bad Grönenbach (Unterallgäu district). As the police announced on Saturday, colleagues found the 62-year-old agricultural worker unconscious and seriously injured in the barn on Friday evening. He was immediately taken to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries there.
According to initial findings by the police, the man had wanted to drive a herd of cows out of the barn to a pasture. There is a possibility that the man was trampled to death by the animals while driving them out to pasture. However, there were no witnesses. The criminal investigation department has now begun investigating the cause of death.
The accident in the cowshed was a tragic incident for the community in Swabia's Bad Grönenbach. Despite efforts to save him, the 62-year-old farmer, known for his kindness towards animals, did not survive the trauma caused by the cows.
