Meeting point for countless superheroes, elves, fairies, and unicorns - thousands of fans of popular fantasy and science fiction series gathered at the Elbenwald Festival in Cottbus. The worlds of Harry Potter, Star Wars, and many comics came to life as visitors from all over Germany arrived in the Spreeauenpark in southern Brandenburg, dressed in often elaborate costumes.

Festival organizer Alexander Lapeta was satisfied despite the partly rainy weather. He estimated that around 12,000 people attended the three-day event. There were concerts, readings, and workshops.

Visitors from various parts of Germany continued their journey home after an exhilarating three-day stint at the Elbenwald Festival in Cottbus. Despite the occasional drizzle, Cottbus once again proved to be a popular destination for fantasy and science fiction enthusiasts.
