Fan falls from Munich victory goal after Turkish win

During celebrations in Munich after the Turkish national team's 2:1 victory over the Czech Republic in the European Football Championship, a fan fell from the outside of the victory goal. He tried to climb up on Wednesday and was apparently uninjured in the fall, the police announced on Thursday.

Approximately 500 fans gathered at the Sieg Gate for celebrations, with an additional roughly 500 partly honking vehicles on the course, it was further stated. Traffic was therefore partially blocked, as there were also several people on the street.

Moreover, fireworks were set off multiple times, according to a police spokesperson. The response teams created several reports for violations of the Explosives Act.
