A family of four was rescued near Lichtenstein Castle in the Reutlingen district after a distress call. The two women, aged 38 and 86, and two girls aged 8 and 13 had been hiking down a narrow path in the valley on Saturday, police said. The elderly woman slipped several times, and the 8-year-old was also having difficulty. They then called emergency services. With the help of the police, an ambulance, and the mountain rescue service, the group was rescued.

The two women, exhibiting courage and resilience, helped their struggling family members throughout the hike. Following the rescue, the appreciation of the women's bravery was evident in the relief expressed by their grateful family.
