A family of four was rescued near Lichtenstein Castle in the Reutlingen district after a emergency incident. The two women, aged 38 and 86, and two girls aged 8 and 13 had been hiking down a narrow path in the valley on Saturday, police reported. The elderly woman slipped several times, and the 8-year-old was also struggling. They then called the emergency services. With the help of the police, an ambulance, and the mountain rescue service, the group was rescued.

Following the rescue, the grateful family used their free time to explore the surrounding areas of Lichtenstein Castle, appreciating the beauty they had nearly missed. Despite the incident, the 8-year-old expressed her love for hiking, promising to learn better techniques for challenging trails.
