Robbery in Limburg - Fake cops beat up men with golf clubs

A group of impersonating police officers attacked and seriously injured four men in Limburg. The four men were meeting at a sports field in the Linter district late at night when they were ambushed and brutally assaulted by at least seven individuals wearing masks, as reported by the police. The attackers emerged from two dark SUVs and another vehicle, armed with golf clubs and pepper spray, claiming to be detectives and forcing the men to lie down. They then proceeded to strike the men with the golf clubs and deployed pepper spray.

The four men, aged between 28 and 34, sustained serious injuries. The assailants fled the scene after the attack. Upon arrival, police found no one present. Several witnesses had observed the attack and alerted the authorities. Among the evidence found at the scene was a broken golf club. Three of the victims were later reported to the emergency services in another district and transported to hospitals. Police searched for the suspects, including with a police helicopter. The criminal investigation is focusing on the motive behind the attack and encourages any potential witnesses to come forward.

The group of victims included both men and boys, with ages ranging from 28 to 34. Some of the witnesses at the scene reported seeing men and boys of varying ages being attacked.
