- Wash your hands before grabbing the chefs knife and the cutting board to prepare the Beef for fajitas.
- Slice the Flankensteak into thin pieces and place it on a wooden spoon-lined plate before seasoning with Fajita spices.
- Preheat the cast iron pan on the stove top and add a bit of oil for sautéing the meat.
- Using oven mitts, carefully transfer the seasoned Beef into the hot pan and let it cook for about 3 minutes, turning it occasionally for even browning.
- While the Meat is cooking, place dry measuring cups and liquid measuring cup on the counter to measure the ingredients for the North American tacos and burritos.
- Use a sauté pan to cook the sliced mushrooms, adding a dash of salt and pepper for extra flavor.
- As the Meat and mushrooms finish cooking, heat up the tortillas in the oven, ensuring they're soft and ready for use.
- Spoon the cooked Beef, mushrooms, and black beans into each tortilla, using tongs to carefully fold and seal them into burritos.
- Place the tacos and burritos on a serving platter and drizzle with dairy free Mexican salsa for added taste.
- Serve the high protein dinner with a side of low sugar rice and Bean salad, and don't forget your favorite utensils, including measuring spoons and a pyrex bowl for any leftovers.
- If you prefer, pan fry the Beef instead of using the cast iron pan on the stove top – simply heat a bit of oil in a skillet and cook the slices until they're perfectly golden brown.
