Reconstruction Ahr valley - Facilitation for foreign workers extended
The regulation to facilitate the entry of foreign workers for reconstruction in the Ahr Valley has been extended by a further year until the end of 2024. This was reported by Integration Minister Katharina Binz (Greens) on Friday in Mainz. "In the past two and a half years alone, the Central Immigration Office for Skilled Immigration Rhineland-Palatinate has issued almost 900 advance visa approvals." In order to speed up the visa process, employers could submit all documents directly to the Central Office for Skilled Immigration Rhineland-Palatinate in Kaiserslautern. The regulation of the Federal Ministry of the Interior had already been extended in 2022 until the end of this year.
