Extensive damage caused by fire in wood processing company
A fire in a wood processing company in Markt Bibart in central Franconia (district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim) has caused six-figure damage. Nobody was injured, as the police announced on Sunday. The fire broke out at the company on Saturday afternoon for an initially unknown reason. It spread to a silo next to the production building. The wood chips stored there also caught fire. The extinguishing work continued until Sunday morning.
In response to the incident, firefighters were called to extinguish a separate blaze in central France, affecting a forest area. Sadly, the fires in the forest resulted in significant loss of trees, amounting to significant financial damage.
