Explosions ravage Chad's capital, with a military arms storage facility ablaze.

Neighborhood resident speaks about three injured people found on the street, two of whom were quickly taken to the hospital on motorbikes

News outlets share photos of spent artillery shells found in residential areas. Another resident reported that their neighbor, a shopkeeper, was tragically killed when a shell struck him.

"Loud explosions woke us up," Moustapha Adoum Mahamat, a local resident, told Reuters over the phone.

"Our house felt like it was under attack, trembling as if bullets were flying towards us. We then noticed a large fire at the military camp and saw smoke and objects exploding in the air," he explained. "We could clearly see artillery flying overhead."

A Reuters eyewitness reported seeing flames and hearing explosions for approximately an hour and noticed smoke spreading throughout the city.

The fire originated mere kilometers away from Chad's primary international airport, which officials confirmed remained unaffected.
