Explosion outside tattoo studio: police looking for possible perpetrator
Following the explosion of pyrotechnics in front of a tattoo studio in Wittenberge (Prignitz district), the police are looking for the possible perpetrator with a personal description. Witnesses are said to have observed a conspicuous man after the explosion last Saturday night, the police announced on Friday.
According to the witnesses, a man left the scene in the direction of Stern after the explosion and frequently looked around in the direction of the tattoo studio. He then walked towards the bus station and possibly also ran. One of the witnesses is said to have approached the unknown man when he tried to throw a firecracker under a canopy.
The man is described as about 1.85 meters tall and lanky. He was wearing dark clothing, including a jacket with a hood and white appliqués on the left upper sleeve. His left wrist was also bandaged. The police are asking other witnesses for help.
Pyrotechnics exploded in front of the store in Perleberger Straße early last Saturday morning. The shop window was completely destroyed, causing property damage of 10,000 euros.
The explosion outside the tattoo studio was classified as a crime due to the destruction of property. Witnesses reported seeing a suspicious man after the explosions, who left towards Stern and exhibited unusual behavior near the bus station.
