After the explosion in Solingen, investigators have been able to identify the victim, who is also the suspect, as a 17-year-old with a residence in the Netherlands. The police and prosecutor's office announced this on Friday. No motive can be stated for him at the moment. Four people were injured in the explosion on Tuesday and taken to the hospital. They were a seven-year-old girl, two women aged 35 and 45, and a 38-year-old man.

A murder commission is currently dealing with a high double-digit number of tips from the population. "They will be processed one by one," said a police spokesperson. The police have set up a tip line for the case, where photos and videos of the incident can also be uploaded. The investigation is being carried out for attempted murder.

According to the latest investigations, the teenager dropped a bottle on a pavement in front of a residential and commercial building on Tuesday. The bottle reportedly broke and caused an explosion. The man was flown to a special clinic with severe burns and died there a few hours later.
