After the explosion on a sidewalk in Solingen resulting in one death and four injured individuals, the murder commission is currently dealing with a high double-digit number of tips from the population. "They will be processed one by one," said a police spokesperson on Friday. The police have set up a tip portal for the case, where photos and videos of the incident can be uploaded. An attempted murder investigation is ongoing.

According to initial investigations, a man dropped a bottle on the sidewalk on Tuesday. The bottle reportedly shattered upon impact, causing an explosion. The man was flown to a special clinic with severe burns and later died there a few hours later.

The explosion in front of a residential and commercial building caused several window panes to shatter. Four people were lightly injured by shattered glass or a bang and taken to the hospital. Among them were a seven-year-old girl, two women aged 35 and 45, and a 38-year-old man.
