A resident has been injured by an explosion in an apartment building in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt. The fire department announced on Thursday morning that an explosion had occurred on the third floor of the building for reasons as yet unexplained. When the emergency services arrived on Thursday night, debris and parts of the façade were lying in the backyard of the building. A fire in the apartment extinguished itself before the fire department arrived. The fire department evacuated twelve other residents of the building. They were able to return to their apartments a short time later. The affected apartment was badly damaged and uninhabitable. The amount of property damage was not initially known.
