At a campground in Merkendorf, Middle Franconia, an RV went up in flames on Monday. As per the police, the vehicle was fully consumed by the blaze. At least one individual sustained severe injuries. It was uncertain, according to a representative of the Nuremberg Police Headquarters, if anyone else was harmed. However, there were no initial signs that other people were inside the RV. The campground, as stated by the police spokesperson, adjoins a public pool. Mass evacuations were not necessary.
