An explosion has occurred at a highway construction site on the A3 in Upper Franconia. No one was injured, according to the police. Individual pieces are said to have flown up to 40 meters. A worker discovered a container damaged by the explosion at the construction site near Schlüsselfeld (Bamberg district) on Friday morning and called the police. It is not yet known exactly what caused the explosion on Friday night. Initial estimates put the damage in the six-figure range.
