Electrical retail - Expert and Euronics move trade fair from Berlin to Hanover

The Expert and Euronics electronic retail chains are moving their joint dealer fair Koop from Berlin to Hannover. The cooperative exhibition of the two trading chains will take place at the Hannover trade fair grounds starting in 2026, the organizers announced. The fair will still be held once more in 2025 at its previous location in Berlin. After that, the contract with Messe Berlin, which was closed in 2019, will expire. In the re-tendering process starting in 2026, Hannover has now been awarded the contract.

At the Koop fair, whose first edition in 2021 was held virtually due to the pandemic, manufacturers show the dealers of the two chains their products and new innovations. Expert and Euronics had merged their separate in-house fairs into the Koop. According to the organizers, about 3000 visitors attended the latest edition in February 2024, which was a two-day event.

  1. Euronics and their retail partner Expert will relocate their joint electronic fair, Koop, from Berlin to Hannover, commencing in 2026.
  2. The decision to move the fair to the Hannover trade fair grounds was made during the re-tendering process that started in 2026, following the expiration of the contract with Messe Berlin in 2019.
  3. Manufacturers in the electronics industry frequently participate in the Koop fair, using it as an opportunity to present their products and innovations to dealers from both Expert and Euronics buildings in Lower Saxony.
  4. The Koop fair, which had over 3000 visitors during its latest edition in February 2024, will now take place at the Hannover trade fair grounds, leaving Berlin as its previous home.
