- "Experiences Disappointment": FC Hansa Suffers Defeat Again in Cologne
FC Hansa Rostock experienced another disappointing outcome in sports. The side that was demoted to the second division suffered a 0-3 (0-1) loss against Viktoria Köln during their Friday evening fixture, extending their winless streak to four matches in the 3rd league, leaving them in a perilous relegation position.
"It's a bloody awful and painful nightmare. We've pretty much flopped for the fourth time in the third league," remarked Hansa captain Franz Pfanne on MagentaSport. "That's not the level we're accustomed to. I deeply apologize to our fans. It's bloody brutal!"
Lex Tyger Lobinger scored Köln's opening goal in the 8th minute, capitalizing on a significant defensive mistake by Rostock. The ex-Osnabrück player doubled Köln's lead in the 65th minute, exploiting yet another mistake by Rostock's defense. Only three minutes later, Serhat Semih Güler, a previous Hansa player, added the third goal, once again taking advantage of a costly error (68).
Just like in the previous weeks, Rostock displayed a determined yet unfortunate performance. The new striker, Albin Berisha, struck the crossbar in the 23rd minute. The second half saw Rostock causing self-harm with their defensive blunders.
Despite the struggles, FC Hansa Rostock planned to travel to Cologne for their next match. Regrettably, the team's poor defensive form continued, with Cologne capitalizing on their mistakes yet again during the match.
