Experience the convenience of ordering your Spirit Halloween costume straight through Uber Eats!
Ride-sharing giant Uber revealed in a recent press statement on a Friday, they're now delivering Halloween essentials like costumes, makeup, and decorations from Spirit Halloween, America's leading Halloween retailer across North America.
The trend of major retailers starting their Halloween celebrations earlier and earlier suggests American consumers are still splurging on Halloween despite cutting back on other non-essential expenses.
American and Canadian shoppers can now purchase their Chipotle burrito costume for the same price as in-store, without having to venture out to the seasonal Halloween pop-up stores that appear annually in vacant storefronts. However, Uber mentions there will still be charges related to Uber Eats delivery services.
Spirit Halloween operates 1,525 locations.
Beryl Sanders, Uber's director of U.S. grocery and retail partnerships, commented, saying "This time of year marks the beginning of the holiday season, with households nationwide relying on on-demand delivery to fulfill their needs immediately."
During the pandemic, numerous retailers partnered with Uber to provide doorstep deliveries, such as Olive Garden offering their breadsticks and pasta. Uber Eats has collaborated with retailers like Big Lots, Lowe's, Michael's, and Party City for on-demand delivery services.
Uber and its competitors have also dabbled in robot deliveries, although they haven't gained massive traction within the U.S. market yet.
Uber's decision to deliver Halloween essentials from Spirit Halloween is a strategic move to cater to the increasing demand for on-demand delivery services during the holiday season. This collaboration allows businesses to reach a wider customer base, especially those who prefer to shop online or avoid crowded stores due to the ongoing pandemic.
