On Wednesday, at 4:00 pm, the Flensburg Regional Court will announce its verdict in the case of a man accused of killing his wife. This German man is charged with giving his seriously ill wife an overdose of multiple medications in August 2022 in the Schleswig-Flensburg district and then stabbing her with a knife.

The prosecution's case is that this murder was meant to look like a joint suicide. They argue that the man should have taken a small amount of the medications himself and merely hurt himself with the knife. Furthermore, the prosecution claims that the defendant was operating without the proper qualifications as a healer.

The prosecution in Flensburg is seeking a life sentence for the man's alleged murder. Additionally, they are asking for the special severity of the crime to be established. While early release after 15 years would be legally possible in this case, it is practically unlikely to happen.

The defense, however, has suggested a prison term of two years for manslaughter, with the execution suspended.
