A 46-year-old man, who met a 27-year-old woman several weeks prior to the event at a sex club, is standing trial. The woman had refused to quit her job in the sex industry to accommodate the man's desires, as revealed by the court. The man was driven by jealousy, control, and possessiveness, which later resulted in him physically harming the woman. In October 2022, the defendant assaulted the woman with a knife in his apartment in Offenbach and followed it up by making demands known to the court.
