As a result of troubles during the beginning of the year, the Labor Agency released an update on the Hessian job market in May on a Tuesday. In the previous months, the typical spring rejuvenation didn't take place, leading to about 193,700 individuals - both men and women - being listed as unemployed in April. This equated to a stable jobless rate of 5.6%, compared to 5.2% from the year before.

Despite the challenges in the first quarter, the Labor market in Hesse continued to show resilience, with slightly over 180,000 individuals finding employment in May, resulting in a modest decrease in unemployment numbers.
