Railroad - Expansion of the Lübbenau-Cottbus railroad line: funding secured
The extension of the Berlin-Cottbus railroad line is getting closer. "Funding for the line extension between Lübbenau and Cottbus has been secured," announced Deutsche Bahn on Tuesday. This makes it clear: "The second track is coming." According to Deutsche Bahn, this will create the conditions for a broader rail service between Berlin and Lusatia. "The goal is a 30-minute interval."
According to Deutsche Bahn, the line between Lübbenau and Cottbus will be electrified and double-tracked when it goes into operation in 2027.
