- Ex-Leipzig star, Simakan, ink deal with Al-Nassr
Mohamed Simakan's move to Al-Nassr FC has been sealed. Previously of RB Leipzig, the center back has penned a deal with Cristiano Ronaldo's team. Al-Nassr failed to disclose specifics during their Monday evening announcement. Previous rumors suggested that Simakan, at 24, would commit to a four-year contract and Leipzig would secure a €45 million transfer fee. In response, Leipzig has acquired Lutsharel Geertruida, a Dutch national team player, from Feyenoord Rotterdam to fill Simakan's vacated spot.
Simakan's departure to Al-Nassr FC is a notable transfer for The Netherlands, as Geertruida, also a Dutch national team player, joins Leipzig from Feyenoord Rotterdam to replace him.
Leipzig's acquisition of Geertruida ensures that they maintain a strong presence of Dutch talent in their squad, following Simakan's move to Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr FC.
