Mecklenburg Lake District - Eviction of "Reichsbürger" with SEK as a precautionary measure
There has been a major police operation in Penzlin (Mecklenburg Lake District) due to the eviction of a so-called "Reichsbürger". The area was cordoned off on Wednesday morning, said a police spokeswoman. The SEK, dogs and also negotiation experts were on site as they wanted to be prepared for any scenario. The man had been asked to leave the house by the responsible authorities, as it had already been foreclosed and had a new owner. According to the spokesperson, he had not previously complied with this request. After contacting negotiation experts, the man had voluntarily left the house so that it could be vacated. The "Nordkurier" had previously reported.
So-called Reich citizens deny the existence of the Federal Republic of Germany.
