"It's not only those lacking clothing" - Event showcases Newton's perspective on Berlin.

Helmut Newton, a well-known photographer, had a strong connection to Berlin throughout his life. After escaping the Nazis, he rose to fame internationally and often returned to his home city for photoshoots. He never fully missed Germany, but he always had a homesickness for Berlin. In 2003, he donated his work to the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation in Berlin, which then created the Newton Foundation in 2004. This organization now houses the Museum of Photography. Newton expressed his pride and happiness that his photos would return to his hometown, not just the nudes but all the other works as well.

From January 27 to February 16, the foundation is marking its 20th anniversary with the group exhibition "Berlin, Berlin." This show not only highlights Newton's relationship with and in Berlin but also displays works by other artists such as Yva, his mentor, Else Ernestine Neuländer-Simon, Barbara Klemm, Jewgeni Chaldej, Hein Gorny, Adolph C. Byers, Arno Fischer, F.C. Gundlach, Günter Zint, Fritz Tiedemann, Arwed Messmer, Annett Gröschner, Maria Sewcz, Michael Schmidt, Wim Wenders, Ulrich Wüst, Thomas Florschuetz, and Harf Zimmermann.
