Hungary has unveiled the official motto for its upcoming turn at the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union.

"Europe's Renaissance: Hungary's New Slogan for EU Leadership Echoes a Familiar Sentiment"

A nation unveiled its fresh slogan and logo in a video shared on platform X on a Tuesday.

The slogan borrows heavily from the catchphrase embraced by the ex-US President Donald Trump, who has expressed admiration for Hungary's Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, in the past.

Trump played host to Orbán at Mar-a-Lago during March, and hinted at their continued communication post-White House departure in 2021, saying they had "stayed in touch."

"No one surpasses Viktor Orbán in terms of intelligence, wisdom, or leadership - he's incredible," Trump told a gathering at the Florida resort, as captured in a series of Instagram clips posted by Orbán.

As per a declaration from the Hungarian Presidency, the cubic logo accompanying the "MEGA" catchphrase was inspired by the "globally renowned Hungarian innovation, the Rubik’s cube," which is marking its 50th anniversary this year.

The cube bears the Hungarian flag on one side and the EU flag on another.

Previously, Hungary has mirrored Trump's vernacular.

In May, Orbán organized the third annual CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) in Hungary akin to its American counterpart.

In his inaugural speech at the CPAC conference in Budapest, Orbán backed Trump's reelection bid and incorporated the MAGA slogan into his speech, saying, "Make America great again, make Europe great again!"

Trump delivered a pre-recorded video message to the conference, praising Orbán as "an exceptional man" and commending "the multitude of patriots in Hungary who valiantly fight on the frontlines of the struggle to rejuvenate Western civilization."
