From 8am to 6pm, around 4.85 million voters in Hesse had the chance to vote on the distribution of seats in the European Parliament.
Eligible voters include around 100,000 youths aged 16 or 17, who are allowed to participate in a state-wide election for the first time in Hesse. The ballots include 34 parties and other political organizations. Approximately 55,000 election workers are assisting with the Hessian European election.
