Footballer Pascal Groß expresses interest in rejoining Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, possibly before the European Championships. The 32-year-old midfielder, currently playing for Brighton & Hove Albion in England since 2017, spoke about his potential return during a visit to the DFB headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany.

With a contract with the Premier League club expiring on June 30, 2025, Groß has indicated he may consider a move back to his homeland. "I've always said I'm open to coming back home to Germany," he admitted. However, he emphasized that his priority is the European championships, and he won't comment on any existing rumors.

Having played for FC Ingolstadt for five years, including two seasons in the Bundesliga, Groß's strong performances in the English top flight have earned him a late call-up to the national team. With five international appearances to his name, this will be his first significant tournament. On the day of the opening match in Munich against Scotland, June 14, Groß will turn 33 years old.

In the defensive midfield, Groß is the primary alternate to Toni Kroos and Robert Andrich. The player is content with his backup role, stating in Herzogenaurach that he knows his position as the first backup player with national coach Julian Nagelsmann.

In the upcoming test match on Monday in Nuremberg against Ukraine, Groß will replace Kroos in the pitch to gain more experience. Nagelsmann has already confirmed this beforehand. Kroos, along with Real Madrid teammate Antonio Rüdiger and the Dortmund's final duo, Niclas Füllkrug and Nico Schlotterbeck, will join the DFB team on Tuesday.
