Europa-Park opens winter season: first results expected
A good four weeks before Christmas, Europa-Park will ring in the winter weeks on Friday (14:15) in Rust in southern Baden. Founder and owner Roland Mack is also likely to assess how Germany's largest theme park will perform this year. Last year, more than six million people visited the park with its roller coasters and other attractions in the Ortenau district - a record.
Unforeseen events brought the park into the headlines in the summer. In June, a major fire damaged the traditional rides "Alpenexpress "Enzian"" and "Tiroler Wildwasserbahn". Two firefighters were slightly injured during the operation. In August, according to police reports, five artists and two visitors were injured when a water basin ruptured and attached diving towers collapsed.
Europa-Park is preparing to open a new roller coaster in the new Croatian themed area next year.
Despite the challenges faced during the summer, Europa-Park's leisure time offerings continue to attract a large crowd. The park is expected to welcome tourists during its winter season, offering a unique tourism experience with its winter themes and festivities.
