EU initiates membership negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy underscored that this step would materialize the 'European dream' for his citizens. Typically, these discussions drag on for years, if not generations. For Ukraine, there's a membership guarantee; however, a peaceful resolution with Russia is a precondition.
