Green Party's Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock highlighted the significance of initiation of talks, as the EU stands as a 'life-saving policy' for both nations. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy underscored that this step would materialize the 'European dream' for his citizens. Typically, these discussions drag on for years, if not generations. For Ukraine, there's a membership guarantee; however, a peaceful resolution with Russia is a precondition.
