European Union - EU Commission President von der Leyen selects:
Sunday morning, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen made her way to a polling station in Burgdorf-Beinhorn, Hannover region, to cast her vote in the European elections. Accompanied by her husband Heiko, she arrived at the small voting center just after 10:00 am and greeted warmly with a "Good morning." Despite a swarm of journalists waiting to ask her questions, she declined to make any statements and left the polling station only a few minutes after voting, flashing a quick smile for pictures in front of the cameras. With a hope of a second term, the 65-year-old von der Leyen will continue leading the EU Commission after the election.
