EU: Approval of glyphosate is extended

The approval of the controversial weedkiller glyphosate will be extended by ten years in the EU. However, there will be new conditions and restrictions, the EU Commission announced in Brussels on Thursday.

The decision to extend the approval of glyphosate for ten more years in the EU raises concerns about its impact on agricultural practices and the environment. Meanwhile, advocates for health argue that there should be strict regulations in place to minimize exposure to this weedkiller.
