Judicial mandate - Essen's City hall ordered to make Grugahalle venue accessible for AfD.

The AfD is entitled to fair treatment when it comes to gaining access to public venues like the Grugahalle, as ruled by the 15th Chamber. They should not face any discrimination compared to other political parties, based on the statement from the court on Friday. Entry can only be refused if there's a potential threat of criminal activities while using the venue. Nonetheless, stricter criteria should be used when assessing this issue when it involves political parties. The court failed to find substantial evidence suggesting a high likelihood of legal infractions.

The case about the federal party conference is still being heard at the Essen Regional Court. The court will make a call on the civil suit during an oral hearing on Monday.

The administrative court's judgments in favor of the AfD have consistently upheld their rights to fair treatment. The Minister of Interior, however, has expressed concerns about potential food safety issues at AfD events. The AfD's stance on these concerns will be a key point during the upcoming Federal Party Conference. The court order was met with mixed reactions from various political parties, with some questioning the use of public funds for AfD events.
