Animals - Escaped dog causes temporary closure on A3
A lane of the Autobahn 3 near Frankfurt/Main has been temporarily closed due to a lost dog. The white Maltese was caught unharmed and returned to its owner, as the police announced on Sunday.
According to the police, the four-legged friend had apparently escaped from its owner in a parking lot on Saturday evening and ran along the A3 in the opposite direction to Cologne. Numerous emergency calls alerted the officers, who reportedly took over the closure of one lane. As a result of the measures taken, a traffic jam of up to eight kilometers in the direction of Würzburg was created.
