Erzgebirge Aue wins in the snow against Borussia Dortmund II
FC Erzgebirge Aue have recorded another victory after two league games without a win. The third-division soccer team won 2:0 (2:0) against the second team of Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. In front of 6714 spectators in the snow-covered Erzgebirgsstadion, Marcel Bär scored twice (15th and 45th +1 minute). Auer's Marco Schikora (66) and Dortmund's Hendry Aron Blank (76) were sent off with yellow cards.
The first quarter of an hour saw a highly motivated Auer team. As early as the 12th minute, the ball, which was red due to the snow, fizzed into the BVB goal. Before that, however, an offensive foul was called. Just three minutes later, Bär (15) scored a regular goal. Then a goal by Tim Danhof was disallowed by referee Wolfgang Haslberger due to a dubious offensive foul. Dortund had the chance to equalize shortly before the break, but Julian Hettwer put the ball a few centimetres wide of the empty goal. Bär (45.+1) promptly scored at the other end to make it 2:0.
The second half was much calmer. Bär had the chance to score a hat-trick three times, but was denied by the Dortmund keeper. In the 66th minute, Auer made it exciting once again. Marco Schikora, who had already been cautioned, was sent off after an offensive foul. However, they were only outnumbered for ten minutes before Dortmund's Blank was also shown the yellow card. So the score remained 2:0.
Despite their recent struggles in the league, FC Erzgebirge Aue demonstrated their resilience in the 3rd league, securing a notable victory over Borussia Dortmund II with a 2-0 scoreline. In this impressive performance, key contributor Marcel Bär scored twice, contributing significantly to the team's success in the snow-covered Erzgebirgsstadion.
